Hidroquest is a 45.0 MW hydroelectric power plant currently under development. It will be built as a cascade-type project, capturing the turbinated water from Hidronormandia.

The project is located in the Morona Santiago province within the Ecuadorian Amazon, located approximately 30 km Northwest of the city of Macas. The project will feature three WKV German-made Francis turbines that will produce >340 GWh of 100% renewable energy.

Hidroquest is fully financed by Ecuadorian banks under a Project Finance structure. It is the first private project financed under this structure by Ecuadorian Banks, setting a milestone for the energy sector in the country.
